As the situation around the COVID-19 pandemic continues to unfold and create uncertainty around the globe, we want to let you know how we’re responding at SilverBlaze.

SilverBlaze is committed and prepared to provide the continuation of our services to our employees, customers and partners – ensuring all stakeholders are able to use our services and stay healthy at the same time.

As a technology-based company, supporting essential utility services in Canada, the United States and in the Caribbean, we will continue to provide our core support services to utility providers without interruption.

Working remotely has not changed our commitment to maintaining our high level of service, compliance obligations and safety of your data.

To mitigate the spread of the virus and protect the health of our employees and clients, we have implemented the SilverBlaze Business Continuity Plan that will ensure we are able to deliver our essential functions and services without interruption.

The Business Continuity Plan, designed specifically to ensure we respond appropriately to COVID-19 as it continues to spread around the world, includes the following steps:

  • The SilverBlaze Senior Management team will continually monitor official third-party communications regarding the rate and effects of the infectious disease. Communications monitored will include those from the World Health Organization (WHO), the Center for Disease Control (CDC), and all other applicable federal, local and provincial agencies.
  • SilverBlaze has enabled all employees to work remotely and has provided the equipment, connectivity and relevant applications and resources to ensure long-term viability of SilverBlaze’s core business and offerings – regardless of restrictions on office accessibility.
  • All SilverBlaze staff have access to laptops and have been instructed to take their laptops home during an office shutdown. All employees have access to secure VPN and remote collaboration tools to ensure work will continue during this time.
  • Policies ensure all staff are made aware of restrictions on face-to-face meetings, social distancing, non-essential business travel, as well as restrictions on returning to work after having been out on sick leave.

With our Business Continuity Plan in place, SilverBlaze is committed to serving all customers and partners during this unprecedented global event. If you have any questions about our service, or would simply like more advice on utility provider best practices during the COVID-19 Pandemic, please contact our team of experts today.
